Magnit-Dixy merger gets conditional Russian approval

( July 21, 2021, 12:49 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Russian retail chain Magnit has received conditional national approval for the acquisition of the Dixy retail chain and Megamart stores. The approval covers regions only where Magnit's market share doesn't exceed 25 percent. This means that in a total of 53 towns, 142 Dixy stores won't be merged with the Magnit retail chain, the Russian antitrust watchdog said. Furthermore, both companies have one year to bring their combined market share in 22 towns below 35 percent.Press release follows....
