( May 24, 2023, 21:50 GMT | Official Statement) -- Summary: Mines, large battery factories and more livestock farmers should respect strengthened EU industrial emission rules, lawmakers of the European Parliament’s environment committee have said by voting a draft negotiating position on the reform. Contrary to the proposal of the EU executive, the lawmakers decided to leave some smaller farmers out of the scope of the law. Next, the text will have to be voted on in a plenary session to decide the institution’s initial position in legislative talks with the Council of the EU, representing national governments.Press release follows....
