Greenfirst Forest successfully challenges US Commerce on duty review of softwood lumber from Canada

( November 18, 2022, 20:43 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Court of International Trade has ordered the Commerce Department to review its countervailing duty (CVD) order against softwood lumber from Canada and to remand it for further explanation or reconsideration. The court has also ordered that Commerce file its remand redetermination within 90 days. The challenge to Commerce's refusal to conduct a changed-circumstances review was filed by Greenfirst Forest Products, the successor-in-interest to Rayonier A.M. Canada G.P, the lumber producer subject to the initial CVD order in 2017.See document below....
