BBVA pays EUR48,000 Spanish GDPR fine over data confidentiality

( November 10, 2022, 17:02 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria has paid a fine of 48,000 euros for infringing Articles 5.1(f) and 32 of the General Data Protection Regulation, the Spanish Data Protection Agency has said. A claimant asked the company for the information on their bank account and received the personal information of another person, the watchdog said. The bank had breached data confidentiality as it lacked adequate technical and organizational measures for data security, the regulator said.
