With Penn State trial looming, 12 schools hit Vintage Brand with new trademark complaint

That Vintage Brand states on its website that its apparel is “not sponsored or endorsed by” the universities is an admission of an “unlawful scheme,” the plaintiffs say. A trial on near identical allegations by the Pennsylvania State University is scheduled to begin in November.Vintage Brand, a maker of apparel and other merchandise branded with collegiate logos, mascots and more, was sued last week for trademark infringement by 12 colleges and universities along with their athletic departments....
