Four education companies allowed to participate in Estácio-Adtalem deal review in Brazil

( January 8, 2020, 17:13 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Education companies Grupo Ânima Educação, Grupo Afya, Grupo Ser Educacional and Antares Educacional can participate in the Brazilian review of Estácio Participações's planned buyout of Adtalem Brasil Holdings and its subsidiaries, the Administrative Council for Economic Defense said in a decision. The four companies compete with Estácio and Adtalem in the educational market. As interested third parties, the companies will be able to assist CADE in its review of the deal and can appeal a decision by CADE's Superintendence to approve the transaction to the agency's Tribunal.
