Comment: Sony’s market power in question over buyout of EMI’s music publishing rights

Sony, though, could counter the tie-up does not give it market power in a sector that is characterised by low barriers to entry and includes significant buyers such as Apple that can resist price hikes. Brussels - Independent music companies’ body Impala has reiterated its call for the European Commission to block Sony’s planned buyout of EMI’s music publishing rights business....
