Australian energy-market rivals authorized to work on supply stability for five months

( November 14, 2022, 06:14 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Participants in Australia's gas and electricity markets have been granted authorization through April 2023 to collaborate to ensure reliable power supplies. In an update to the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission's authorization register today, the regulator said it had granted authorization for the Australian Energy Market Operator and industry participants to enter into or give effect to any contract, arrangement or understanding, or engage in conduct linked to information sharing, all of which would otherwise be deemed anticompetitive.
