UK baby formula market study won’t escalate to probe at this stage, antitrust watchdog says
( August 16, 2024, 15:29 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A UK study into the baby formula market will not be upgraded to a more in-depth market investigation at this stage, the Competition and Markets Authority has said, although it does have concerns over the market, including that "many parents and carers are paying more than they need to for infant formula." But it said that it considers its concerns "will be best addressed by progressing with our market study and developing recommendations to governments to improve these market outcomes." The CMA opened its market study into baby formula in February this year.Statement follows....
