Google loses bid to stay discovery in Texas attorney general privacy case

( May 12, 2023, 19:20 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Without comment, a state court judge in Texas has denied Google's motion to stay evidence discovery in litigation filed by the state attorney general that alleges Google's Chrome browser and Android devices made deceptive statements to consumers about their collection of personal information. Google had requested a discovery stay while it appeals an order finding the Texas Superior Court in Victoria County has jurisdiction for the case to be heard.
