Belgian telecom operators invited to give feedback on government 5G spectrum allocation plans

( December 26, 2019, 10:01 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Belgian telecom operators have been invited to give feedback on a draft bill that sets the revenue and the conditions for the 3.4-3.8 gigahertz frequency band, aimed at facilitating the future rollout of 5G networks. The plans also include arrangements in the 3.8-4.2 GHz band for private local networks to use 4G and 5G. In addition, the bill will give the Belgian telecom regulator BIPT a mandate to extend the 2G and 3G spectrum licenses beyond the March 15, 2021 expiry date.
