Danish watchdog recommended 11 GDPR fines in 2022; cases referred to national police

( May 11, 2023, 08:23 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Danish data protection authority has said in its report for 2022 that it referred 11 cases to the police with recommendation of fines where the data controllers violated the EU's GDPR, as is the procedure under national law. The regulator reported 8,816 notifications of data-breach incidents it received last year, saying around 66 percent of these came from public sector.
