Apple says SaurikIT filed antitrust claims too late

( February 5, 2021, 17:11 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Apple told a US federal judge that all SaurikIT’s monopolization claims are untimely because they accrued seven years before it filed its suit. SaurikIT claims that Apple has edged out competitors by tying the App Store app to iPhone purchases by preinstalling it on all iOS devices and then ensuring it remains the default method to obtain iOS apps. Apple said that it required developers to submit apps for distribution to iOS consumers through the App Store in 2008 and required the use of in-app purchasers for paid apps and digital content in 2009. See document below. ...
