Eni confirms Milan prosecutor raids, document request linked to Congo corruption probe

( April 9, 2018, 17:40 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Italian oil company Eni has confirmed that the offices of two of its employees were searched by Milan prosecutors on April 5 as part of their ongoing investigation into allegations of corruption in the Republic of Congo. On the same day Eni also received a formal request for documents from the prosecutor relating to the company's operations in the Republic of the Congo from 2009 to 2014, an Eni spokesman confirmed to MLex.Full statement follows....
