South Korea's finance minister pledges full support for investment in future mobility

He said the government will prioritize the development of future mobility technologies, such as improving battery life, enhancing safety of autonomous-driving technologies and supporting necessary human resources for the sector. The minister added that businesses can benefit from tax incentives of 25 percent to 35 percent for investing in electric vehicle-manufacturing facilities under an upcoming special tax law decree. Meanwhile, Hyundai Motor Company announced its plan to build a full EV manufacturing facility in Ulsan, with a total investment of 2 trillion won ($1.5 billion).
