Harbin urban management bureau ends anticompetitive practice after probe by Chinese market regulator

( May 9, 2023, 04:42 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Harbin urban management bureau has been deemed by the Heilongjiang provincial Administration for Market Regulation to have violated China’s Antimonopoly Law by designating specific providers of bike-sharing services in the main urban areas of the city of Harbin. The urban management bureau’s practice restricted other qualified suppliers from competing in the bike-sharing market and deprived consumers of their autonomy in choosing suppliers, the Heilongjiang market regulator said in a statement. The bureau has ended its anticompetitive practice and submitted a report to the Heilongjiang market regulator on its rectifications.
