UK Competition Authority: OFT - Considers remedies in petrol forecourt merger

( February 3, 2012, 17:03 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: UK competition regulator, the Office of Fair Trading (OFT), announced that it is considering remedies offered by Shell UK in relation to its completed buy-out of 253 petrol stations from Rontec. The deal raised competition issues with respect to the retail sale of petrol and diesel in six local areas and in the retail sale of auto-LPG in a further six local areas.
