UK privacy watchdog expects more data breach reports, complaints after May

( April 9, 2018, 11:29 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: UK Information Commissioner Elizabeth Denham said her office is expecting more companies to report data breaches and more citizens to file complaints, as new EU rules come into force in May. In a speech Denham delivered in Manchester today, she said that, as part of a wide probe into the use of personal data for political ends, she started investigating Facebook in February, "when concerns were heightened. Our investigation will be measured, thorough and independent and only when we reach our conclusions based on the evidence will we decide if enforcement action is warranted."Full speech follows....
