Mazda, Sephora given green light in security reviews of outbound data transfers in China

( May 8, 2023, 06:26 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Car maker Mazda and beauty store Sephora have passed security reviews for cross-border data transfers conducted by China's central Internet regulator, making them the first two companies from Shanghai given the green light for their security-assessment applications. The update was announced by the Internet regulator in Shanghai, which also said that as of April 28 it had received more than 400 applications from key sectors including finance, retail, business services, autos and the medical sector.
