Restaurant-voucher companies fined more than EUR400 million by French antitrust authority

( December 18, 2019, 12:26 GMT | Official Statement) -- Restaurant-voucher companies Edenred France, Up, Natixis Intertitres and Sodexo Pass France have been fined nearly 415 million euros by the French competition authority for illegal agreements. The watchdog found that between 2010 and 2015, the companies exchanged confidential commercial information relating to their respective market shares every month. Further, between 2002 and 2018, the companies agreed to practices intended to bar entry to the restaurant-vouchers market and agreed not to launch new services, such as mobile apps. The authority said these practices had harmed competition and slowed down innovation in the French market.Statement follows in French....
