Japan's shipping consortium ONE to acquire Atlas for $10.9 billion

( November 2, 2022, 10:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Japan's shipping consortium Ocean Network Express, or ONE, agreed to acquire the asset management company Atlas, which owns the leading shipping management company Seaspan Corporation, for $10.9 billion. ONE is a joint-venture formed by Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd, Mitsui OSK Lines Ltd and Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha. ONE, along with Atlas' top shareholders will acquire the remaining shares of Atlas for $15.50 per share in cash under the entity Poseidon Acquisition Corp.
