H&R Block subsidiary seeks US injunction over Intuit’s 'expert final review' ad claims

By Melissa Ritti ( August 2, 2024, 20:07 GMT | Insight) -- HRB Digital, operator of H&R Block, moved this week for a preliminary US injunction barring Intuit from continuing to tout an “expert final review” feature of its TurboTax Live Assisted tax preparation product as “100% accurate.” The lawsuit is just the the latest of several between the parties spanning the last two decades and comes in the midst of Intuit's appeal of findings by the Federal Trade Commission that it falsely advertised TurboTax as "free."Seven months after HRB Digital, operator of the H&R Block website, agreed to stop making price comparisons between its tax products and those of Intuit, HRB moved for a preliminary US injunction this week against its longtime competitor....
