Facebook, Princeton University move to dismiss Planner 5D's US claims

( February 3, 2021, 00:46 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Facebook and Princeton University moved to dismiss allegations in US court in San Francisco that they illegally accessed and "scraped" three-dimensional digital objects and scenes from the website of Planner 5D in an attempt to develop computer-vision technology. Planner 5D can't sue for copyright infringement "until after they complete the process of seeking registrations from the Copyright Office. Yet in its zeal to assert its copyright claim, Planner 5D has repeatedly ignored" those requirements, Facebook and Princeton said in asking a federal judge in San Francisco to throw out the claims.See attached document....
