Zuari Agro Chemicals' restructuring of its fertilizer business receives Indian clearance

By Freny Patel ( July 30, 2024, 23:30 GMT | Insight) -- Zuari Agro Chemicals' restructuring of its fertilizer business through a merger and shareholding transfer has received approval from the Indian antitrust authority on Tuesday. Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers will be merged into Paradeep Phosphates, with Zuari Maroc Phosphates emerging as the majority shareholder. The scheme notified to the Competition Commission of India in May will see Zuari Agro transferring its shareholding in Mangalore Chemicals to Zuari Maroc Phosphates.
