BitChute might face Ofcom probe in potential test of new video-sharing rules

( January 28, 2021, 15:23 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: BitChute, a UK far-right video-sharing platform, might face a regulatory probe by Ofcom after the Community Security Trust announced its plan to report it for alleged breach of new rules on harmful content on VSPs. The CST, working closely with the UK's Jewish community, says BitChute features "large quantities of antisemitic, racist, violent and conspiracy-fueled content," including Holocaust denial and glorification. A CST spokesperson confirmed to MLex that it would be reporting BitChute to Ofcom for further investigation.
