OpenAI's ChatGPT unblocked in Italy after transparency, rights pledges

( April 28, 2023, 17:27 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: OpenAI's AI system ChatGPT is no longer blocked in Italy after the company offered more information about its service to users about protecting their privacy and data protection rights, the Italian Data Protection Authority said today. It said OpenAI had agreed to inform ChatGPT users and non-users that they can object to the processing of their personal data for the training of algorithms. It said the company plans to keep processing personal data on the basis of a contract for the purpose of training algorithms.
