German draft cybersecurity bill submitted to parliament

( January 27, 2021, 11:47 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The German government has presented a draft bill to update the current IT Security Act to parliament as lawmakers will first discuss the proposal on Thursday. The IT Security Act 2.0 will expand the regulatory framework created by the existing law and should give the Federal Office for Information Security more control powers. The bill would also enable requests for inventory data from providers of telecom services in order to inform those affected about security gaps and attacks.Statement follows in German....
