Tyson, Cargill, JBS, National Beef Packing say indirect sellers of cattle should not be allowed to amend US price-fixing claims

( July 24, 2024, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Tyson, Cargill, JBS and National Beef Packing opposed a motion to file an amended complaint by indirect sellers of cattle after an order of dismissal. “Plaintiffs and their counsel waited too long to pursue the case they now present. After the first complaint was dismissed because cow-calf ranchers were too-far removed from the alleged wrong and, thus, failed to demonstrate antitrust standing, counsel could have tried to salvage a cow-calf rancher case through better-supported allegations,” they argued.
