Booking, Expedia, Decolar settle price-parity clauses case in Brazil

( March 27, 2018, 15:04 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Hotel booking websites Booking.com, Expedia and Decolar.com have agreed to stop using "abusive" price-parity clauses in their contracts with hotels to settle an antitrust probe in Brazil, according to a statement today. The companies were given 60 days to amend all contracts they have with hotels in Brazil to comply with the terms of the accord signed with the agency. The Administrative Council for Economic Defense, or CADE, didn't impose fines on the companies because it is the first time that the matter was investigated in Brazil and there was no clarity on whether their conduct was illicit.CADE statement follows in Portuguese:...
