Trump still suspended from Facebook, Instagram as company refers case to Oversight Board

( January 21, 2021, 17:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Facebook will continue to suspend the accounts of former US President Donald Trump and refer a decision about future access to its Oversight Board. In a statement authored by Nick Clegg, the social media giant's vice president of global affairs and communications, Facebook said it won't override the board's decision about  Trump's access to Facebook and Instagram accounts. "It would be better if these decisions were made according to frameworks agreed by democratically accountable lawmakers.
