US, Mexican trade representatives discuss progress in mid-year economic dialogue review

( April 19, 2023, 14:30 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Trade representatives from the US and from Mexico met virtually yesterday, where they discussed both countries’ projects and commitments under the US-Mexico High-Level Economic Dialogue for the mid-year review, the US Trade Representative said in a release. They discussed efforts both countries have made to build up supply chains, environmental technologies, lawful trade and information technology regulatory compatibility, among other issues. The US delegation was led by Commerce’s trade undersecretary, Marisa Lago, the State Department’s undersecretary for economic growth, Jose W. Fernandez, and Deputy US Trade Representative Jayme White. The Mexican delegation was led by Foreign Trade Undersecretary Alejandro Encinas, Finance Undersecretary Gabriel Yorio, and Chief Officer for North America Roberto Velasco.Statement follows below:...
