GVC buy of Ladbrokes Coral gets UK antitrust clearance

( March 21, 2018, 08:38 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Online gambling company GVC Holdings's plan to buy peer Ladbrokes Coral Group has been cleared by the UK's antitrust regulator. The deal doesn't give rise to competition concerns, the Competition and Markets Authority said. The CMA said GVC has a small presence in the UK and only offers services online. It also said that GVC and Ladbrokes aren't close rivals and there are many other providers of betting and gaming services online.Statement follows.
