Tata, Singapore Airlines seek India clearance for Air India-Vistara merger

In their joint merger filing to the Competition Commission of India, made public on Wednesday, the parties said that the merger would not affect the competitive landscape or cause any appreciable adverse effect on competition in the Indian market despite the existence of horizontal and vertical overlaps. The parties are expected to file with the Singapore antitrust watchdog.
