Cancelled 700MHz auction in Sweden ‘complicates’ mobile infrastructure expansion, says Telia Company

( November 1, 2016, 17:54 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Swedish telecom operator Telia Company has said that a decision by the national telecom watchdog to cancel an auction of wireless frequencies in the 700-megahertz band “greatly complicates and delays the important expansion of mobile infrastructure in particularly rural areas.” The operator said it was important to have access to more airwaves, to meet significant customer demand for data. The auction cancellation follows a decision by the Swedish government to postpone the reallocatation of the 700MHz band from television broadcasters to wireless operators.Full statement follows....
