Proposed Brexit bills allow for UK transport-permit schemes, driving license validity abroad

( March 20, 2018, 12:51 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: UK-based transporters may be subject to permit and trailer-registration schemes to continue operating inside the EU following Brexit. A new bill proposed to the UK House of Lords allows for both ideas to be implemented, should they be requested in negotiations with the bloc for a post-Brexit agreement. The government will also ratify the 1968 Vienna Convention, a UN regulation making a driving license valid abroad if it includes a valid International Driving Permit.The statements follow....
