( November 29, 2019, 23:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A ruling overturning the Federal Trade Commission's win against Qualcomm could force automakers into unnecessary, costly and inefficient licensing negotiations, the Association of Global Automakers and Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers said in an amicus brief to the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. The groups, who represent 70 percent of all car and light truck sales in the US, said harm arising from Qualcomm's anticompetitive licensing could increase as cars become more connected to cellphones, pedestrians, other vehicles and road infrastructure.See document below....
