'Potential irregularities' in sale of OI’s mobile business in Brazil scrutinized by CADE prosecutors

"Worrisome" concentration, the fact the transaction hasn't yet been formally notified to the antitrust agency and a complaint against the deal filed by rival Algar Telecom all motivated prosecutors to open the case, they said in a statement.Federal prosecutors within the Brazilian competition authority are investigating potential competition "irregularities" in the formation of a consortium by Telefônica Brasil, TIM and Claro to buy OI's mobile business for 16.5 billion reais ($3.1 billion)....
