London local government reprimanded by UK watchdog over hack data breach but escapes fine

The Information Commissioner's Office initially considered imposing a fine of 1.35 million pounds for "a clear and avoidable error from London Borough of Hackney," but it decided against this in line with its policy on enforcement against public bodies and because the authority had recognized the potential harms and quickly taken steps to mitigate them.Statement follows....
