Viva Cinema defends against AMC's motion to dismiss in Spanish language films antitrust litigation

( July 29, 2015, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Viva Cinema filed an opposition to AMC Entertainment Holdings’ motion to dismiss claims that it used its monopoly power to keep out competition for first-run shows of films in Spanish in Houston, Texas. Viva says that it claimed a valid product market because even though there are Spanish speakers in the area who also speak English, the relevant consumer for first-run Spanish language films are people who only understand Spanish.
