Comment period for US cryptocurrency reporting rule extended 15 days by FinCEN

( January 14, 2021, 15:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Cryptocurrency firms and users have an additional 15 days to comment on a US rule that would require banks and money service providers to report the names and physical addresses of non-customers who make transactions of more than $10,000. The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network said today it is reopening the comment period for the proposed rule that would require recordkeeping and reporting of certain crypto transactions.See statement below....
