Gaz de Bordeaux fined EUR1 million in France for abusing market power

( October 11, 2022, 12:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Gaz de Bordeaux, an incumbent retail natural gas supply operator, and its parent companies Régaz-Bordeaux and Bordeaux Métropole Energies, have been fined 1 million euros by the Autorité de la concurrence, the agency said today. The watchdog said that the company led almost all new customers in the city and surrounding towns to subscribe to a market offer and thus reduced competition at a key moment of market opening.
