DOJ asks to participate in hearing on Writers Guild's motion to dismiss talent agencies' antitrust case

( November 27, 2019, 22:03 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Department of Justice has filed a motion seeking permission to participate in a hearing on the Writers Guild of America's motion to dismiss antitrust claims by talent agencies including William Morris Endeavor Entertainment accusing the guild of inducing an illegal group boycott. "The United States seeks to participate at the December 6 hearing because it enforces the federal antitrust laws and has a significant interest in the proper application of the labor exemptions from the antitrust laws," the DOJ said.See motion below....
