Renault, Plug Power announce hydrogen JV plan

( January 12, 2021, 21:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Carmaker Renault and US hydrogen fuel-cell provider Plug Power have signed a memorandum of understanding to launch a 50-50 joint venture, the companies said in a joint statement. The JV, to be based in France, will aim to capture more than 30 percent of the EU’s market for fuel-cell powered light commercial vehicles. The finalization of the deal should be completed before July, but will depend on the “potential clearance from the relevant competition authorities,” the companies said.The statement is attached. ...
