Michelin’s appeal of EU Commission antitrust dawn raids published by court

( July 15, 2024, 08:38 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Tiremaker Michelin is arguing that the European Commission breached its fundamental rights when carrying out unannounced inspections at its premises in a suspected cartel among tire producers. In pleas to the EU's lower-tier General Court, Michelin says its right to the "inviolability of the home" was breached, and that the commission should hand back the documents it seized. Alternatively, it says the court should force the commission to hand over the "information and indicia" it had to justify the raid.The summary of the appeal follows....
