CADE queries Fiat, Ford about patented spare parts in intellectual property case

( October 27, 2016, 19:39 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Volkswagen, Ford and Fiat Chrysler were asked by Brazilian antitrust officials to submit a list of their patented spare parts, as well as their revenues in 2010. Officials also want to know whether any of their patents were annulled in court. Separately, the Administrative Council for Economic Defense sent questionnaires to rivals Peugeot Citroën, Nissan, Honda, Toyota, Hyundai, Renault, and General Motors asking whether they have patented spare-parts and whether they have had problems with independent auto-parts makers that operate in the aftermarket.See CADE's questionnaires attached....
