Apple seeks permission to appeal order sending BIPA claim over Photos app to state court

( June 24, 2021, 19:02 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Apple is seeking permission from the US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit to appeal a court order sending a claim that its Photos app violated the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act to Illinois state court. US District Judge Nancy J. Rosenstengel should have dismissed the claim instead of remanding it to state court, Apple said in its petition.
