NSO argues it isn't subject to US jurisdiction in lawsuit over Pegasus spyware

( April 15, 2023, 01:17 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: NSO Group Technologies is seeking to dismiss a lawsuit filed by journalists alleging the company violated a key US anti-hacking law when it deployed its Pegasus spyware to rights-abusing governments. NSO is a foreign company not subject to the jurisdiction of US federal court, and the plaintiffs don't allege that any of NSO’s alleged conduct injured them in California or the US, the company argued in a motion to dismiss. "This lawsuit involves purely foreign plaintiffs, purely foreign defendants, and purely foreign alleged conduct, and substantially all of the relevant evidence is located overseas," NSO said. "There is no reason for a California (or U.S.) court to involve itself in this foreign dispute."See document below....
