US senators urge FTC's Khan to complete pharmacy benefit manager market probe by summer 2023

( October 7, 2022, 19:40 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US senators have urged Federal Trade Commission Chair Lina Khan to complete a study of industry 'middlemen' pharmacy benefit managers no later than one year after the order was issued in June. There’s bipartisan support for examining PBMs, the senators said in a letter to Khan, which was signed by Democrat Maria Cantwell, who chairs the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, Republican Chuck Grassley, ranking member of the Judiciary Committee, and five other senators.Statement follows.
