Malaysia's anti-graft watchdog releases 14 engineers linked to Sabah Water scandal

Sources close to the MACC said that five divisional engineers, three district engineers, a technician and a water works official were freed yesterday at the Kota Kinabalu Magistrate's Court, while an engineer and two technicians were freed at the Lahad Datu Magistrate's Court. The sources added that another engineer was freed at the Tawau Magistrate's Court. They were all among 19 engineers detained by the anti-graft agency during an operation on Oct. 19.
