Yesterday, Gani was charged with graft involving 5.3 billion rupiah ($406,469) linked to the construction of a loading dock in Sabang using the national budget for fiscal 2011. He was suspected of skipping a tender and awarding the contract for the project to Nindya Sejati, a joint venture between state-owned construction company Nindya Karya and regional firm Teguh Sejati. Yani asked the judges to imprison Gani, to fine him 300 million rupiah and demand the return of bribes worth 4.3 billion rupiah that he allegedly took from Nindya Sejati....
